Meet Our Founder

A female speech language pathologist with smiling face, wearing a white cardigan.

Hi! I'm Shimra, known to some of my clients as “Shimmy,” and I am a dedicated Speech Pathologist committed to enhancing lives through evidence-based practice, personalized care, and innovative therapy approaches. As a passionate kids speech pathologist, I help children develop strong communication, language, and social skills, while as an adult speech pathologist, I guide adults in improving social communication, professional speech, and everyday interactions with confidence.

My journey in speech pathology began at Yeshiva University, where I pursued a major in speech and audiology. I furthered my education at Iona College, earning a master’s degree in speech therapy in 2017. Since then, I have gained extensive experience across early intervention programs, nursing homes, public schools, and charter schools. I provide both in-person and online services through Sparkling Speech Teletherapy, making therapy accessible, flexible, and tailored to each individual’s needs, ideal for those searching for a speech therapist near me.
